Interview with Dominic Proulx, VP HR at Cogir Real Estate
What is your biggest challenge right now?
Our biggest challenge is retaining employees, especially new hires. Sparkbay analyzes the issues that can lead to departures, while providing insight into the level of employee engagement.
What problems are you trying to solve by using Sparkbay?
Our organizational survey every two years didn't provide us with granularity in the results by residency. It didn't allow us to do any clustering. We needed a tool that would give us the climate to work with, while being easy to use. We wanted a survey solution that would be sustainable over time, so we could take the pulse more frequently and track improvements.
How does Sparkbay help make your job easier?
We have access to more data on levers that allow for a 360 evaluation in an anonymous way. Employees can provide feedback on management style, company services and our values.
If you didn't have a tool like Sparkbay, what would you do?
It would not have been easy, due to the resources required to do the meta-analysis. Traditional surveys would not have allowed for such extensive analysis with real-time results.
How would you describe Sparkbay to a friend?
A platform that takes the pulse of employees on their level of engagement and mobilization.
An easy to use tool, with real-time reports, identified and scientifically validated levers, giving an accurate and granular picture of the level of engagement and mobilization.
What are the benefits of using Sparkbay?
Before Sparkbay, we were convinced that our onboarding program needed a lot of improvement. We were going to put effort into redesigning the onboarding program because management believed it was an issue. With the data on the platform, we realized that it was actually a strength.
It's very beneficial for program management. The open feedback also gives more clarity on relevant solution paths.
What other benefits do you expect in the future?
Currently, we have a scale within the organization. This scale will serve as a benchmark for future acquisitions, facilitating cultural alignment. This scale will serve as a culture vector to ensure successful integrations.
What has it been like working with Sparkbay so far?
We are very happy with the product. We also have a good relationship with our success manager, who offers good advice.
